Why We Built StackPilot

As developers who use Heroku extensively, we found ourselves constantly needing to check on our applications while away from our computers. The existing solutions were either:

  • Desktop-only tools that weren't accessible on mobile
  • Web interfaces that weren't optimized for mobile screens
  • Missing key features like real-time notifications
  • Lacking native mobile integrations like Live Activities

We decided to build the tool we wished existed - a native mobile app that brings the full power of Heroku management to your pocket, with features designed specifically for mobile workflows.

The result: StackPilot combines the convenience of mobile access with powerful features like real-time monitoring, instant notifications, and iOS Live Activities with Dynamic Island support.
